COMMUNITY OUTREACH INTERN

The Community Outreach Intern will support the hospital’s efforts to strengthen relationships with community members and organizations by creating awareness of hospital services, health programs, and wellness initiatives. The intern will assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing outreach activities that promote the hospital’s mission of providing accessible, quality healthcare to the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in planning and executing community outreach events, health fairs, and awareness campaigns.
Distribute educational materials and hospital information to community members, schools, local organizations, and places of worship.
Support the development of community health education programs and awareness sessions.
Represent the hospital in community forums, meetings, and local events as directed.
Collect feedback from community members to help the hospital understand their healthcare needs.
Assist in creating content (flyers, brochures, social media posts) to promote hospital services and initiatives.
Maintain outreach records, including attendance, engagement levels, and community feedback.
Support collaboration with local leaders, NGOs, and partners to extend healthcare awareness.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences or related field.
Interest in community service, advocacy, and social impact
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
